Bueno, en realidad eran santos, pero cantando geeks se escucha igual de bien, tomando en cuenta que tanto geeks como saints tienen sólo una sílaba. Ah, hispanoparlantes monolingües, lo que sigue no es de su incumbencia porque no le van a entender, aunque pueden dejar un mensaje indicando su inconformidad por no entenderle a mi texto.

Okay, ladies an gentlemen, now that there isn’t any Spanish-speaker around to bug us, let’s go to business. The idea of the club is being slowly matured, and thus now I can proudly present a provisional list of games that we can play in the GEEK. However, the list is not complete and may grow or shrink, depending on how many games I add or remove. The list is as follows:

2. Risk: the game of global domination.
3. Classic Monopoly & Monopoly Here and Now.
4. Scrabble & Junior Scrabble (for beginners).
5. Pictionary.
6. The Game of Life
7. 6, 9 & 12 dominoes
8. Blackjack (for real)
9. Five-card draw poker (for real)
10. Liar’s Dice (for real or years of servitude aboard the Flying Dutchman or the GEEK)
11. The Fight Club Sport Lounge:
    1. Winning Eleven 9
    2. Pro Action Football 2007
    3. Hockey 2k7
    4. Hardball Tennis 2k5
    5. Basketball 2004

Also, I want to make you notice that the GEEK will have rules.

1st RULE: You do talk about GEEK.
2nd RULE: You DO talk about GEEK.
3rd RULE: You only speak in English at the GEEK.
4th RULE: If you speak in a language other than English, you’ll be kicked in the ass and thrown away.
5th RULE: When discussing religious matters, remember that there is no other nutritive and delicious God than the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
6th RULE: You can wear what you want and even enter barefoot, as long as you pay your membership.
7th RULE: Games will go on as long as they have to.
8th RULE: If this is your first night at GEEK, you HAVE to play.

I’m still working on who will be the official face of the GEEK. I have narrowed the choices to four:

Now I also want you to notice that, although this is not my last post in English for this purpose, I’ll start working in LIDERCorp.com.mx to make it the home of GEEK. It will be rather interesting to know how will I do that with my current workload. Oh, what the hell, I want to make the best club available for that purpose.

Okay, so I need you guys that want to join the club to spread the word about the GEEK. I need to know how many people out there are willing to join, in the know that the first couple meetings will be free but with no snacks nor fancy drinks. Also, it is almost decided that I will host the GEEK in my office, because there it doesn’t matter if the members make a mess in the weekend, while at home I have a lot of valuable things, like my Picasso, the Klopman Diamond and two or three billion dollars in penny coins. Also, I think that the Fourth of November will be the best date to start the GEEK, because the Fifth is Monday.

So if you’ve seen nothing, if the crimes of boredomness remain unknown to you, then I would suggest you allow the fourth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me two weeks from tonight, outside the gates of my office, and together we shall give them a fourth of November that shall never, ever be forgot.
